Samia Bano is the award-winning author of 'Make Change Fun And Easy: How to Create Inner Peace to World Peace In 3 Simple Steps'. She serves as the resident Happiness Expert at The Academy Of Thriving, a transformative educational institution that helps ChangeMakers create massive positive change in their lives and the world. Using the principles she teaches, Samia lives happiness every day and believes that is the key to making change fun and easy :).
In the aftermath of 9/11/2001, Samia, who is easily recognizable as a Muslim since she chooses to wear the traditional head scarf for Muslim women, found herself a target of Islamophobic discrimination. It made her heart feel "heavy and sad". She recognized the negative reactions were based in a misunderstanding of her faith and religion and she determined to do what she could to heal the sense of pain and fear that caused people to react to Islam and Muslims in such a negative way.
Since then Samia has been actively engaged in various interfaith projects and dialogue groups.
She is one of the lead facilitators of the Standing Together Online Facilitated Dialogue Series.
